Catamaran Ferry to Rum Point for dinner

Red Sail Sports and Rum Point Club have partnered to offer a FREE catamaran sail to Rum Point Restaurant from Safehaven Dock in Seven Mile Beach area every Tuesday through Saturday evenings. Red Sail Sports’ spacious 65′ catamaran serves as the perfect vessel for the hour long sail to take in a beautiful Cayman sunset while enjoying refreshing drinks from our on-board cash bar. Once docked on the tranquil North Side, make your way up the dock to Rum Point Restaurant where award-winning cuisine and Seggy, Grand Cayman’s star mixologist await you. After dinner, sail back to Safehaven dock while stargazing from the catamaran’s trampoline nets.

Rum Point Restaurant offers an extensive selection of beautifully crafted food created by award-winning Chef Kapila Kodituwakku who hails from Sri Lanka and is known throughout the Cayman Islands for his culinary talent. Whether you are dining inside observing expert chefs prepare their specialties in Grand Cayman’s first show kitchen, or on the verandah enjoying the cool sea breeze, the elegant Oceanside ambiance coupled with a modern European & Caribbean fusion menu provides an idyllic setting to fulfill your culinary expectations.

Please note that on Fridays the trip departs at 5.30pm and returns at 9.45pm

Transport

You will need to make your own way to Safehaven dock to meet the boat and to return at the end of the evening. There are normally taxis waiting at the Westin’s lobby who will charge about CI$10 for 1-3 people for each (about 5 minutes) trip.

Please note that the restaurant closes down for slow season (Sep – 7th of Nov)

Dinner Sail

Dinner Sail

Set sail aboard the Spirit of Calypso and dine under a thousand stars on this memorable and romantic evening. Enjoy your favourite cocktail from the on-board cash bar and watch the sun go down as we cruise along Seven Mile Beach. As the moon rises and stars come out, a three-course meal is served. The Dinner Sail operates three days a week, each with a different themed menu to choose from:

Tuesday – Curry Night

Enjoy a traditional West Indian Chicken or Fish Curry served with Coconut Rice.

Thursday – Caribbean Night

A taste of the Caribbean on Thursday evenings with choice of Seared Red Snapper or Jerk Chicken.

 

Saturday – Steak Picnic Night

A picnic at sea with a choice of Marinated Flank Steak or Grilled Salmon Steak (served at room temp).

During slow season (September-10th of December) the trips on Saturdays are cancelled.

Your choice of chicken/steak, fish or vegetarian will be requested and recorded at the time of booking.

Experience Grand Cayman’s beautiful sunset aboard Red Sail Sports luxurious 65 foot catamarans. Spirit of Calypso will take you on a leisurely two-hour cruise along Seven mile Beach. Enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres and refreshing drinks from our onboard cash bar. Take a cocktail onto the trampoline nets where you can sit, relax and listen to the water rushing beneath.

Fridays: Happy Hour Sail 6pm – 8pm
